Purpose of data processing
Your data will be processed for the purpose of issuing transponders and for the purpose of deposit accounting for students at the Geodetic Institute and the Central Accounting Department. The legal basis for the data processing of the mandatory data in the registration form is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. e) in connection with §17 NHG. With regard to the use of the transponders, the transponder ID of the closing transponder is stored on the actuated locking cylinder depending on the system.
Obligation to provide
You are not obliged to provide a transponder, but the issuance of a transponder is only possible if you provide us with the required data, which is referred to as mandatory data.
Storage period
Your data will be processed and stored throughout the period from the transponder issue to the return of the transponder. Data that are collected within the framework of the deposit processing are stored for 10 years (Nrn. 8 + 9 Nds. AktO) on the basis of the applicable retention periods. Your data will be deleted immediately after the end of the loan (return of the transponder and repayment of the deposit) unless they are subject to special retention periods. If you wish your data to be deleted prematurely, this is only possible after the borrowed transponder has been returned and the deposit has been repaid. The storage period of the transponder IDs on the locking cylinders depends on the frequency of locking operations carried out on the locking cylinder. In principle, the transponder IDs are deleted automatically after a defined number of locks.
